Oh my stars, my kids were soooo amazing yesterday! :D We had "Open House Sunday" with a raffle and a potluck and the kids sang... and everything! They were so good! They sang "Sermon in Shoes" (of course, Blaine insists that the song should be "Sermon in Socks"...), "Family of God," "The Windows of Heaven," and "The Bible Stands." I was so proud of them! :)
The raffle was the biggest item on yesterday's agenda.. well, for the kids anyway. :) Scott had won 29 points and for every point they earn another ticket, so he was waaaayyy excited! He didn't win... but he had a great attitude about it so we ended up giving him his own prize. lol! :D
So my favorite story for yesterday begins when I started story time in my class. I've been teaching them about Jesus and His disciples and then last week we learned about Heaven! They were awestruck at all the amazing things that are in Heaven! :) It's also a great place to begin talking about getting saved, and how to get to Heaven and everything. So yesterday I began by finding out what they remembered about the previous week...
"Who can tell me what we learned about last Sunday in class?"
"HEAVEN!!!!" (I loved how excited they were!) :)
"And who can tell me what's in Heaven??"
and from the mouth of two or three kids...
"CHOCOLATE!!!"
LOL! I promise you I didn't even tell them that!! :D They just know that when Teacher says Heaven is wonderful.... "wonderful" means there's chocolate there too! lol! :D
Have a Happy Day everyone! :)

Do you want fries with that??...
So yesterday I ended up driving to church by myself. Because.... I wanted to, I was running late, and I was starving. lol! :D Honestly, I hadn't eaten anything all day besides chocolate. :) Not really the healthiest diet, but ya... crazy schedules work out that way sometimes. :P It was good though! Well, until I started shaking. lol! And shaking while you're straitening your hair could prove fatal. Of course, I'm not sure how it could be fatal, but I'm sure someone could manage it! (I mean, hopefully not, but whatever..) ;)
So anyways, I stopped for something quick before I got to church. K, so basically I always thought that "fast-food" meant that you were going to get food.... fast! ummm, basically not! I pull up and there's this really expensive car right in front of me and the lady is waving her arms and talking a mile a minute! (to be quite honest, it was pretty hilarious.. ). But I was supposed to be at church, and whether he's my Dad or not, my Pastor doesn't like it when the pianist is late. lol! :D So. I'm sitting there, hungry, late, frustrated, and watching this woman go on and on into the speaker!
Seriously, how complicated can your order get? She starts tossing her arms into the air (no, the little sandwich boy is not going to toss the lettuce for your burger... forget it, lady.) Then she's rolling her arms around and around... I figured she was either describing the exact consistency of her shake or singing him a rousing chorus of "Rolled Away"... either way, she's crazy... and I'm late. Then it got kind of funny. :D She want a #25. No, no, no. A twennnnttyyyy-five - not thirty five. No, no, no. Twenty-fiiiiiiiiivve - not twenty-nine. K, she's got it - everything's good. Phew. I pull forward and order in like two seconds. (really, it's not that hard. even I can do it, and I'm part blonde! ...well, not really I guess. I used to be though, but whatever.)
Anyways, I'm getting off the subject. So we get up there and she must have thought the little drive through guy was an IRS agent or something, because they discussed the price of her cheeseburger like it was going to impact her whole budget! That's probably the longest time I have ever spent in a drive-thru in my life!
Oh the best part of the story? The whole time I'm behind this special person, I'm looking at the bumper sticker on the back of her car that announces to the world "My Dog Has Class!" LOL! :D Honestly, Lady. You and your dog have class like a polar bear has polka dots. :D
Oh well, such is life I guess. ....well, part of life anyways. It's definitely not all of it, or you'd be visiting me in the looney bin every Saturday night.... or visiting her. Either way, it'd be interesting! :) lol! Well, here's another unique post! Sometimes I wonder how in the world random stuff like this happens to me... :D
Anyways, I hope y'all (ooh, how's that for southern?) have a Happy Day! :D

A Happy Day .... Anyway. :P
Guess what everybody, my faith in IT guys has just been diminished by enormous quantities. *sniff* I know. It's truly shocking! They're always there when you need them! What in the world could have gone wrong??? :D
Anyways, yeah. You know those weekends that just never seem to get better? Well that's what I had. One of those "what-could-possibly-happen-next" weekends. :)
Well, ok. To be absolutely truthful, most of it was pretty fun! On Saturday I was able to throw a surprise birthday party for Mom and Dad without either of them guessing! On Sunday we had a great turnout on the bus, Cavion got saved (one of our bus kids.. Happy Day!), my class actually remembered what I had taught them the previous week (Happy Day again!), and I managed to fake through an offertory that was woefully behind in practice hours. lol! :D
But.... the rest was kind of interesting, beginning with waking up late and having to put my make-up on in the bus without ending up looking like a small child's coloring book (a feat I am quite proud of.... well I am!) and ending in my losing my phone. (and time-change couldn't have come on a worse weekend..) :P
I'm really glad I ended up getting a ton of chocolate at the store last night, though! This morning I looked outside and it was snowing. (Just in case anyone is wondering, yes: it is March... and yes: that's just plain random..) But I love driving in the snow! I really don't think cars are supposed to drive sideways in it (people don't usually like that... it's kind of scary..) but whatever... at least I made it without injuring anything... or anybody. Which should count for something. ;D (Talk about an adrenalin rush though! wow!)
But anyways, I finally got to work this morning and found that my whole entire web project that I had been working for months on, had all but completely disappeared! I had been given a job rebuilding the internal site at work for the Standard Work, and Training Manuals and well... you name it, it was on there. What happened? uhhh... well. From what I gathered from a very chagrined IT guy... someone tripped over a power strip.... multiple times. The servers had to be rebooted.... multiple times. All of this resulted in my 3 months of work disappearing. (yeah, no kidding... you'd be a little disappointed in them too!) Anyways, I am very pleased to announce that I did not cry in their office (which would have been exactly what they deserve... and probably pretty hilarious too!) :D I simply shoved enormous amounts of chocolate in my mouth, and marched bravely over to let them know of their blunder. Fortunately Dave (the poor guy who happened to be in their office when I found out...) was able to fix most of it. I only ended up losing all of Friday's work. So umm.... I guess that means that I get paid for Friday even though I have to redo everything? It was sort of funny though: everybody kept showing up at my desk offering their condolescences. lol! :D You would have thought my dog died or something! :D Anyways, that was today!
Fortunately it did get better. :) The snow stopped, then melted. I got caught up on about half of the work I lost. And one of my students surprised me with a new song! He learned this one all by himself over the week, and it's a song from the back of his book! (that's supposed to be impressive right there...) :D
I still haven't found my phone, but I'm still praying it will show up. I haven't even started to figure out how many numbers I'd lose if it doesn't show up... please pray it shows up!!!!
Oh well! Have a Happy Day everyone! :D
